Parwinder SandhuVisakhapatnam, Feb. 17 -- India and France have taken a major step towards deepening defence industrial cooperation with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to manufacture HAMMER air-to-ground precision-guided munitions in India, reinforcing New Delhi's push for greater self-reliance in advanced weapon systems.
The MoU for establishing a joint venture to produce the HAMMER (Highly Agile Modular Munition Extended Range) missile system in India was signed between Bharat Electronics Limited and Safran Electronics and Defence, on Tuesday.
