Hyderabad, Jan. 21 -- The Telangana Backward Classes Commission on Wednesday held a meeting at its office in Khairatabad under the chairmanship of G Niranjan to discuss key issues related to Backward Classes welfare and policy recommendations.
The Commission deliberated on the procedure for issuing DNT (De-Notified Tribes) certificates required for eligible beneficiaries under the SEED scheme being implemented by the Central Government.
During the meeting, the Commission approved a recommendations report to the government recognising 50 castes in Telangana as nomadic communities. It also cleared proposals on changes and additions to the format for issuing certificates to these communities.
