Bergamo, March 11 -- Bayern Munich produced a dominant display to thrash Atalanta BC 6-1, while Galatasaray secured a narrow 1-0 victory over Liverpool in their European clashes on Tuesday.

Bayern's relentless attacking pressure paid off early as Josip Stanisic opened the scoring with a close-range tap-in before quick goals from Serge Gnabry and Michael Olise put the German champions 3-0 ahead inside the first 25 minutes.

There was no respite for the Italian side after the break as Nicolas Jackson finished off a swift counterattack before Olise curled in his second goal of the night. Substitute Jamal Musiala added Bayern's sixth midway through the second half.
