New Delhi, March 10 -- After a month-long manhunt, police have arrested the main contractor in connection with the death of a 25-year-old bank employee, whose motorcycle fell into a pit dug for Delhi Jal Board (DJB) work in Janakpuri last month, an officer said on Tuesday.
According to the police, the contractor, Himanshu Gupta, who had been evading arrest, was apprehended in Udaipur, Rajasthan, following an intensive manhunt conducted by a police team from the West district, they said.
Acting on leads, the team located Gupta in Udaipur early Tuesday and arrested him. "He is now being brought to Delhi for further investigation," a senior officer said.
