Kochi, Feb. 17 -- In a stark and emotionally charged performance at the ongoing Kochi-Muziris Biennale, Bangladeshi artist Yasmin Jahan Nupur moved audiences to tears with her powerful work exploring the trauma of borders and human confinement.

Her performance, titled The Touch, took place inside a narrow enclosure made of four bamboo poles and wrapped in barbed wire. Barefoot and dressed in a white shirt and black trousers, with her clothes deliberately torn, Yasmin stood trapped within the makeshift cage, stretching her hands outward in a silent plea for help.
