Dhaka, Nov. 14 -- Bangladesh Chief Advisor Muhammad Yunus on Thursday said that the country will hold a national referendum on implementing its 'July Charter' and other reforms alongside the national elections on the same day in the first half of February 2026.
In a televised address to the nation, Yunus said the interim administration is preparing for an "inclusive, festive and fair" vote and will take the necessary legislative steps to enable the referendum.
He added that, in line with the July Charter, the government has already framed the referendum questions to be placed on the ballot.
