Dhaka, Dec. 11 -- The Bangladesh Election Commission on Thursday formally announced February 12, 2026, as the polling day for the upcoming 13th national elections, and July Charter referendum.
Announcing the electoral schedule in a pre-recorded televised address in the evening, Chief Election Commissioner AMM Nasir Uddin confirmed the poll date, and said that all nominations are to be filed by December 29 this year. The scruitiny will take place from Dec 30, 2025 - Jan 4, 2026, with January 20 being the last date for withdrawing nominations, reports Daily Star.
Afterwards, electoral symbols will be allotted, and the final list of candidates will be published on January 21, with election campaigns scheduled to begin on January 22, before c...
