Dhaka, Aug. 5 -- Bangladesh's Chief Advisor Mohammed Yunus, unveiling the so-called July Declaration, delivered a national address in Bangladesh and urged the countrymen to never bow their heads to oppression, while calling for the construction of a new-more humane, non-discriminatory, democratic nation.
"Build a state which will always work for the public welfare," he said, highlighting his vision and noting that they have not come just to remember the past, but they have come to take an oath, reports Business Standard BD.
The declaration, which is being unveiled today also marks one year of the July uprising, resulting in the ouster of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and her Awami League government.
