Dhaka/New Delhi, Dec. 28 -- The Mohamed Yunus-led interim government on Sunday rejected India's statement voicing concern over the situation of minorities in Bangladesh, and, in a tit-for-tat move, expressed concern over "mass violence" targeting religious minorities, including Muslims and Christians, in India, and called for the perpetrators to be brought to justice.

Two days after India termed as a matter of great concern the "unremitting hostility" against minorities in Bangladesh at the hands of Islamist extremists,Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson SM Mahbubul Alam, in a statement on Sunday evening, urged India to refrain from spreading "misleading narratives about minorities".
