Dhaka, Feb. 12 -- Bangladesh Chief of Army Staff General Waker-Uz-Zaman, underscoring his enthusiasm for the long-awaited vote since the July Uprising, said he had been waiting for this day expectantly for the past one and a half years, and hoped for a fair election, while Chief Advisor Md Yunus hailed the polls as a moment of national joy and renewal.
