Dhaka, Aug. 2 -- Bangladesh's now-banned Awami League party has decided to mark the entire month of August this year as 'Black August', in memory of the month-long pogrom which was held 50 years ago, resulting in the deaths of many which include the country's founder and its first Prime Minister Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
The month will also mark one year since erstwhile Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's government was dislodged, and the new interim government of Chief Advisor Md Yunus installed, reports AL-media Daily Republic.
