Ranchi, Feb. 16 -- Leader of Opposition and former Jharkhand Chief Minister Babulal Marandi on Monday launched a sharp attack on the Hemant Soren-led government, alleging that the state's healthcare system has collapsed.

In a statement, Marandi alleged that poor hospital conditions, shortage of ventilators, lack of medicines and dilapidated roads are leading to loss of lives on a daily basis.

He claimed that patients are dying due to inadequate treatment while those responsible remain indifferent to public suffering.

He further alleged that even the condition of the Chief Minister's native village reflects administrative neglect.
