Ranchi, Jan. 15 -- Former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Babulal Marandi on Thursday launched a sharp attack on the Jharkhand government, alleging that the state police and investigating agencies were working to protect scamsters and corrupt officials instead of ensuring justice.
Addressing a press conference at the BJP state office, Marandi claimed that the police department had turned into a recovery gang and asserted that no one was safe in the state under the present dispensation. He urged the Jharkhand High Court to take suo motu cognisance of the developments and order an impartial probe, including a CBI investigation, into alleged large-scale corruption cases.
