Rampur, Jan. 23 -- Senior Samajwadi Party leader Mohammad Azam Khan has resigned from the presidentship of the Maulana Mohammad Ali Jauhar Trust, his dream project, which runs among others the Jauhar University and Rampur Public School, as his continued incarceration hindering the work of the trust.

Khan, his wife Dr. Tanzeen Fatima, and younger son, Abdullah Azam have resigned from all positions of the trust.

Azam's sister Nikhat Aflaq will be the new chairperson of the trust, while Azam's eldest son, Mohammad Adeeb Azam, has been appointed secretary. SP MLA Naseer Ahmed Khan has been appointed joint secretary while Mushtaq Ahmed Siddiqui and Javed ur Rehman Khan are Vice president and Treasurer, respectively.
