Ayodhya, Jan. 31 -- Ayodhya GST Deputy Commissioner Prashant Kumar Singh has withdrawn his resignation four days after submitting it, stating that he is under no pressure and is currently working at his office.
Singh had resigned on January 27 after publicly supporting Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
His resignation followed a controversy related to comments made by a Shankaracharya during the Prayagraj Magh Mela.
Responding to those remarks, Singh had said that he could not tolerate a single word against "Yogi ji" and remarked that "someone sitting on a handcart (palanquin) cannot speak ill of the Chief Minister," calling the CM an "annadata" (provider).
