Ayodhya, Jan. 9 -- Ayodhya authorities on Friday completely banned the sale of non-vegetarian food items within the perimeter of the Ram Temple and the Panchkosi Parikrama route.
The ban will now not only apply to hotels, restaurants, and shops, but also to online food delivery companies.
The administration has informed hotel owners, shopkeepers, guest houses, homestays, and online food delivery companies about the order and has warned of strict action against those who violate the rules.
Assistant Food Commissioner Manik Chandra Singh said here that the sale of non-vegetarian food was already banned in and around the Ram Temple area, but some hotels, guest houses, and homestays were not complying.
