New Delhi, Nov. 21 -- Vice Chief of the Indian Navy, Vice Admiral Sanjay Vatsayan, has said that the maritime force is monitoring the situation regarding submarines being provided to Pakistan by China, adding that efforts are already underway regarding countermeasures and the Navy is aware of the kind of capabilities required in the area of anti-submarine warfare.

He said that the Navy is monitoring other capabilities as well, and as to what should be the counters for the same and accordingly, tactics are being evolved as part of the preparedness.

According to the VCNS, the Navy is aware of its submarine induction and regularly monitors developments to be prepared.
