Shimla, Jan. 29 -- A spell of severe inclement weather, marked by snowfall, rain, thunderstorms and strong winds, continued to disrupt normal life across Himachal Pradesh, with avalanches reported in Chamba district and large-scale damage to roads, power and water supply systems across the state.
Two avalanches were reported in Chamba district on Tuesday evening amid fresh snowfall. One avalanche occurred under Pulan Gram Panchayat in Bharmour subdivision, while another was reported at Sudhai Nallah of Mindhal Gram Panchayat in the remote Pangi area.
