Dhule, Jan. 14 -- In pre-poll violence, unidentified persons allegedly pelted stones at the residence of a Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) candidate in the city on January 13 within hours of campaigning coming to a close for the Dhule Municipal Corporation elections, police said on Wednesday.
The incident occurred in Ward number two and led to damage to property, triggering fear among local residents.
According to police and party sources, the house of Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) candidate Hrishikesh More was targetted on the night of January13. Stones were allegedly hurled at the residence, resulting in broken window panes and damaged chairs. The attack caused panic in the neighbourhood and heightened tensions in the area.
