New Delhi, Aug. 14 -- AAP leader and Leader of Opposition in the Delhi Assembly, Atishi, on Thursday wrote to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, seeking the immediate removal of PWD Minister Parvesh Verma following multiple rain-related deaths in the city.
Atishi cited the death of a biker on Ravidas Marg due to a falling tree as well as other recent incidents, including a toddler drowning in an open sewer in Khera Khurd and a wall collapse in Jaitpur that killed eight people. She described these as "preventable tragedies" resulting from inadequate monsoon preparedness.
