At pre-budget meet in Delhi, TN Fin Min flags revenue losses, demands release of due share of funds

Chennai, Jan. 10 -- Highlighting the GST revenue losses incurred by Tamil Nadu, FinanceMinister Thangam Thennarasu on Saturday urged union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharamandemanded release of all pending due share of funds to the state, including those under theSSA scheme and a support package for the textile sector hit hard by the hike in US tariffsimposed on Indian imports.

In his address at the pre-Budget meeting of Finance Ministers of all states converned by her,Mr Thennarasu thanked her for convening this meeting to seeking their suggestions for theupcoming union Budget and said this forum is crucial for furthering cooperative fiscal federalism.
