Johannesburg/New Delhi, Nov. 23 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi today proposed a G20 Open Satellite Data Partnership to make satellite data more accessible among countries, as well as setting up of a G20 Critical Minerals Circularity Initiative, both of which can benefit the Global South.
Addressing the second session at the G20 Summit at Johannesburg, on 'Resilient World - the G20's Contribution to Disaster Risk Reduction; Climate Change; Just Energy Transitions; Food Systems', the PM also emphasised on the creation of a roadmap based on the 'Deccan High-Level Principles on Food Security and Nutrition' - a set of seven guiding principles adopted by the G20 Agriculture Ministers during India's G20 Presidency in 2023.
