Bhubaneswar, Feb. 21 -- The ASSOCHAM has lauded the Odisha Budget 2026-27 as a forward-looking and growth-oriented roadmap that balances fiscal discipline with inclusive development. Reacting to the Budget presented by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi in the Assembly on Friday, Pankaj Lochan Mohanty, Chairman of ASSOCHAM Odisha State Development Council, described the Rs 3.10 lakh crore outlay as "progressive and growth-driven."In a statement issued here, Mohanty said the substantial allocation, with a strong emphasis on capital expenditure, agriculture, rural development, healthcare, education, and infrastructure, reflects the State Government's commitment to sustained economic expansion while maintaining fiscal prudence.
