Guwahati, Feb. 12 -- A court in Guwahati on Thursday issued a showcause notice to Congress leaders Gaurav Gogoi, Jitendra Singh and Bhupesh Baghel over their recent allegation against Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma.
The court of the District and Sessions Judge Kamrup Metropolitan district also restrained the three Congress leaders from publishing, circulating and disseminating any further defamatory statements against the Chief Minister.
The court order came after Sarma recently approached the court over defamatory statements and allegations made against him by the three Congress leaders.
