Guwahati, March 10 -- Taking a stride toward transforming transport infrastructure in Assam, Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday inaugurated Maharaj Prithu Flyover, the biggest flyover in Guwahati covering a length of 4.2 kms.
The Chief Minister dedicated to the people the flyover connecting Dighali Pukhuri and Noonmati in the city.
It may be noted that the 4.2 km long, four-lane flyover has been constructed involving a financial outlay of Rs. 852.68 crore. The state government sanctioned the construction of the flyover on June 26, 2023. The foundation stone was laid on November 16, 2023.
