Lucknow, Aug. 19 -- Aspirants of the reserved categories, who were candidates for the 69,000 teacher recruitment in Uttar Pradesh, gathered at the official residence of Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya and raised slogans today.

The candidates are angry due to the lack of hearings on the Supreme Court and lacklustre attitude by the state government.

The aspirants sat on a dharna in front of the Deputy CM's residence while a heavy police force was deployed on the spot.

During the protest, the candidates kept raising slogans like 'Keshav Chacha Nyay Karo...'
