Itanagar, April 2 -- In a prompt and coordinated inter-state operation, Naharlagun Police has successfully traced and rescued a minor girl who had been reported missing since March 26.
Acting on the complaint, Officer-in-Charge of Naharlagun Police Station, Inspector K Dev, tracked the girl's movement to Fancy Bazaar in Guwahati after she had boarded a bus from Naharlagun.
Preliminary reports indicate that the girl had run away fearing parental scolding over poor academic performance.
Upon reaching Guwahati, two suspected women allegedly attempted to misguide her, raising concerns of possible trafficking. Acting swiftly on inputs shared by Naharlagun Police, a team from Pan Bazaar Police Station located and rescued the minor.
