Itanagar, March 27 -- As part of the ongoing Pan-India Rescue and Rehabilitation Campaign, the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU), West Kameng in Arunachal Pradesh conducted an extensive drive against child and adolescent labour across the district.
The campaign was led by the Deputy Director-cum-District Child Protection Officer (DCPO) along with the District Labour Officer-cum-Nodal Officer under the Child and Adolescent Labour (Prohibition and Regulation) Act, 1986. The team also included the Protection Officer, Legal-cum-Probation Officer, counsellor, and police personnel.
The drive commenced from Padma under Dirang circle on March 19 and concluded at Jameri point on March 26, covering key areas of the district.
