Itanagar, Feb. 4 -- Arunachal Pradesh Forest and Environment Minister Wangki Lowang on Wednesday held a review meeting with senior officers of the Department of Environment, Forest and Climate Change following a tiger attack that killed a policeman along the Roing-Anini road in the Mayodia area under Mehao wildlife sanctuary.
According to reports, Chow Chikseng Manpang of Manfaiseng village in Namsai district, who was serving as head constable (WT) at Roing police station, lost his life after being attacked by a tiger in Mayudia area of Lower Dibang Valley district on Monday.
The policeman was reportedly returning to Roing on a motorcycle after duty hours at Anini. His mutilated body was recovered from the Mayudia area on Tuesday.
