Chandigarh, Jan. 14 -- The Headquarters Army Training Command (ARTRAC) organised the 10th Armed Forces Veterans' Day interaction in Shimla on Wednesday, bringing together a large number of ex-servicemen from the Shimla district to discuss issues concerning their welfare and well-being.
Lieutenant General Sukriti Singh Dahiya, SM, VSM, Chief of Staff, ARTRAC, chaired the event. Addressing the gathering, Lt Gen Dahiya said that Veterans' Day serves as an important platform to acknowledge the contribution of former soldiers while also addressing matters related to pensions, entitlements and welfare of veterans and their Next of Kin (NOK).
