London, Feb. 23 -- Arsenal restored their five-point lead at the top of the Premier League with a commanding 4-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

The win came after Manchester City had reduced the gap to two points with their victory over Newcastle United, but Arsenal responded with a dominant performance in the north London derby, as per the Premier League website.

Midfielder Eberechi Eze and striker Viktor Gyokeres scored two goals each to seal the victory.

Eze gave Arsenal the lead in the 32nd minute after finishing from close range following Bukayo Saka's cross. However, Tottenham equalised just two minutes later when Randal Kolo Muani capitalised on Declan Rice's error and fired past goalkeeper David Raya.
