Jaipur, Sept. 10 -- In a swift and coordinated humanitarian effort, troops of Golden Katar Division successfully rescued 21 villagers, including women and children, of Dasuriya village in Barmer district of Rajasthan.

A Defence Spokesman communique stated here today that the two- day operation was launched on Sunday following an urgent request from Bhavar Lal Bamaniya, Sarpanch of Bakhasar.

Responding with exemplary urgency and dedication, the Quick Reaction Team of one of the Infantry Battalion of Raptor Brigade reached the "rain flood marred village and rescued 12 individuals, despite adverse weather and challenging conditions".
