Imphal, Sept. 8 -- Security Forces and Manipur Police carried out a series of intelligence-based operations across the state yesterday, leading to major recoveries of arms and ammunition, arrests of active cadres of banned outfits, and the seizure of a large quantity of contraband.
In one operation, Security Forces recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from the Sekmai Pangantabi area under Sekmai Police Station in Imphal West district. The recovered items included one 7.62 SLR with a magazine, one modified .303 rifle without a bolt with a magazine, four single-barrel rifles, one revolver, one .22 pistol with a magazine, two IEDs, five rounds of .303 ammunition, five rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, four bulletproof vests, ten barrel ca...
