Imphal, Feb. 4 -- Security forces recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from Lambal Awang Leikai under Lamsang Police Station in Imphal West district on Tuesday.
Police on Wednesday stated that the recovered items included one local-made single barrel gun, one 9 mm pistol, and six pistols, each with a magazine.
A total of 64 ammunition rounds of different calibres and three SLR blank cartridges were also seized during the operation.
Additionally, one No. 36 HE grenade, one detonator, three tube launching devices, ten arming rings, and one extra magazine were recovered. Other items seized comprised four iron plates, two camouflage helmets, three bulletproof vests, and one ammunition container box.
