Pune, Feb. 8 -- Shiv Sena (Shinde faction) city organiser Anand Goyal has drawn attention to the illegal import and sale of foreign food products in India, in a letter addressed to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The letter, copies of which were released to the media on Sunday, stated that the unauthorised sale of these food products posed a serious threat to the health of the country's future generations.
Citing an "inexcusable delay" in action by concerned authorities despite clear violations, Goyal has urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to personally intervene to ensure food safety and protect public health.
