Vijayawada, March 31 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister Vasamsetti Subhash said here on Tuesday that welfare and development remain the main focus of the NDA coalition government.
In a statement issued from the TDP central office, the Minister pointed out that the government has rolled out the 'Super Six' schemes in just 21 months since taking charge. Nearly Rs 60,000 crore has already been spent on pensions alone. He noted that March this year saw a fresh burst of welfare measures that set new records.
On March 8, Women's Day, the government named one lakh women as entrepreneurs. The same month, Rs 2,676 crore was credited directly to farmers' accounts under the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme.
