Vijayawada, July 24 -- In a significant move in the development of Andhra Pradesh, the Government has decided to invite tenders for the Vijayawada and Visakhapatnam metro rail projects.
The tenders will be invited on July 25 th for the Rs 21,616 crore metro rail projects. According to the sources, the Visakhapatnam metro rail project would be taken up at a cost of Rs 11,498 crore and the Vijayawada metro rail project would be taken up at a cost of Rs 10,118 crore. These two projects are the first metro rail projects to be taken up in Andhra Pradesh.
