Vijayawada, Feb. 13 -- A multi-pronged strategy is being implemented to curb cybercrimes in the State, the Andhra Pradesh Assembly was informed on Friday.
Replying to a query in the Legislative Council during Question Hour, Home Minister V Anitha said the government has intensified efforts to raise public awareness and strengthen law enforcement capabilities across the country. Over the past two years, extensive awareness programmes have been launched to prevent digital fraud and other cyber offenses, she stated.
As part of these initiatives, a dedicated 1930 cyber crime helpline has been established to provide immediate support to victims, she told the Council, adding the police have also set up specialised 'Cyber Fraud Prevention Centre...
