Vijayawada, Oct. 27 -- Andhra Pradesh Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav today announced that 89,845 mosquito nets will be distributed to tribal people across the Alluri Sitarama Raju and Parvathipuram Manyam districts to protect them from seasonal diseases like malaria.

The Minister said the distribution is part of a scheme aimed at preventing the tribal population from suffering from seasonal illnesses caused by mosquito bites.

The mosquito nets will be provided to tribals in 743 villages selected across the two districts based on the highest number of malaria cases registered in the last three years.
