Guntur (Andhra Pradesh), Dec. 24 -- : South Central Railway (SCR), Guntur Division, has introduced a Sleeping Pods Facility at Guntur Railway Station to enhance passenger comfort at affordable rates. The facility, set up under the Non-Fare Revenue (NFR) initiative, is located at Platform No.1, Gate No. 3, SCR said in a release on Wednesday.
The modern facility offers 64 beds, including single and double beds, with dedicated accommodation for families and women passengers.
Amenities include free Wi-Fi, hot water, snacks bar, travel desk, clean toilets, hygienic sleeping areas, and locker facility.
Tariffs are economical, starting from Rs150 for single beds and Rs 250 for double beds for short stays.
