Vijayawada, April 24 -- Representatives of Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani met the Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu and briefed him on the progress of their BITS Amaravati campus.
They explained to the Chief Minister that admissions will commence from 2027 academic year. They said the campus is being established with an investment of Rs 250 crore in three phases with a capacity for 10,000 students.
The Chief Minister suggested promoting startups in quantum technology through the campus.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu directed the officials to develop Capital city Amaravati as a major economic hub and growth engine for Andhra Pradesh.
