Vijayawada, April 26 -- Andhra Pradesh State DGP Harish Kumar Gupta has revealed that 13 special courts will be set up in the state to try accused in ganja and drug cases.

The DGP inaugurated the newly constructed EAGLE (Elite Anti-Narcotics Group for Law Enforcement) headquarters at Mangalagiri, near here on Saturday marking a significant step towards strengthening law enforcement infrastructure in the State. The new office is aimed at intensifying efforts to check drug trafficking and related crimes.

Speaking on the occasion, the DGP reminded that the cultivation of cannabis, which used to be spread over thousands of acres in the state, has now been brought to zero.
