Vijayawada, Feb. 12 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for BC and EWS Welfare S Savitha has announced that 10 new BC Gurukula Schools will be set up soon in the State and Rs 100 crore diet arrears have been cleared.

Replying to a question asked by P Aditi Vijayalakshmi in the Legislative Assembly the Minister announced that 10 new gurukulas schools would be set up and the hostel mess charges would be hiked.

"Nutritious food will be served to the BC students studying pre-matric and post-matric by staying in the residential schools. The mess charges for the same will be hiked and negotiations are going on with the social welfare department in this regard," Minister Savitha told the Assembly.
