Vijayawada, Dec. 22 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for Tourism Kandula Durgesh announced on Monday that 'Avakai-Amaravati' festival of Cinema, Culture & literature will be held from January 8 to 10 at the Punnami ghat, near here.
Addressing a press conference at the Secretariat in Amaravati, near here, the Tourism Minister said that the AP Tourism department and the Teamwork Arts would jointly organize the festival.
"With an objective of highlighting the rich storytelling tradition, cinema, literature and performing arts of the State, the festival events will be held in open spaces with the participation of people," the Tourism Minister noted adding, admission to the events will be free.
