Ongole, Oct. 28 -- The Prakasam district police have arrested a notorious burglar, Shaik Esu Meeravali, and recovered stolen gold jewellery, silver ornaments, and a mobile phone valued at over Rs 30 lakh.
Markapuram DSP U Nagaraju told reporters that the police apprehended the accused on October 27 at Estate Y Junction on the outskirts of Markapur town. The arrest relates to a house burglary case registered after the complainant, Shaik Babu, reported that his property had been stolen after he left the state on July 22, 2025.
