Vijayawada, Feb. 22 -- Andhra Pradesh Minister for Agriculture K Atchannaidu said today that the pending ex gratia to the families of 95 fishermen who died during fishing, has been released.
In a statement here on Saturday, the Minister said that under the Group Accident Insurance Scheme (GAIS) pending ex gratia was released.
He said that the files which had been pending pertaining to the ex gratia payment since 2018 in various stages, were cleared.
The government released Rs 4.75 crore to be disbursed to 95 beneficiaries.
The money had already been credited into the bank accounts of 90 beneficiaries.
