Vijayawada, Dec. 30 -- Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh K Pawan Kalyan laid the foundation stone for the modernization of Sankaraguptam major drain virtually from his office at Mangalagiri, near here on Tuesday. The modernization works of the Sankaraguptam major drain, located in Konaseema district, will be taken up at a cost of Rs 20.77 crore.
Speaking on the occasion, Pawan Kalyan said that he felt sad when he was told that over two lakh coconut trees were withering away due to lack of water in Kesavadasupalem mandal in Razole constituency during his visit.
