Vijayawada, Sept. 21 -- Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today announced Rs 50,000 financial help per hectare to the onion farmers, who have incurred huge losses due to plummeting of prices.
The Chief Minister here on Saturday stated that this decision would save the onion farmers, who raised onion crops in over 45,000 acres, from incurring losses, he noted.
"The onion farmers can dry and grade their onion produce after harvest and sell it when they get a good price. We will pay Rs 50,000 per hectare based on e-crop enrollment to the onion farmers," the Chief Minister asserted.
