Vijayawada, Jan. 25 -- Former Vice-President M Venkaiah Naidu, on Sunday flagged off two medical vans as part of a social welfare initiative conceived by local BJP MLA Y Sujana Chowdary.
The medical vans custom made at a cost of over Rs 1.35 crore are designed to fulfill the goal set by Sujana Chowdary to make Vijayawada West 'the best' in medical services. It has been named the Sujana Health On wheels program.
The first van houses a senior doctor's chamber, an examination room, a blood lab, and a pharmacy for free medicines, while the second van features a diagnostic hub equipped with advanced equipment such as X-ray, ECG, and 2D Echo.
