Tirupati, Oct. 10 -- The Andhra Pradesh government today appointed eminent scientist Dr. Tata Narasinga Rao as the new Vice Chancellor of Sri Venkateswara University (SVU), Tirupati.
Dr. Rao is a highly accomplished scientist who previously received his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Banaras Hindu University in 1994. After working as a Research Associate at IIT Madras, he served as a JSPS postdoctoral fellow and subsequently became a lecturer at The University of Tokyo in 2001. He later joined the International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI), Hyderabad.
